Delco Drug Task Force seizes $54k arrest Yeadon man on gun and drug charges
Media, PA -- Today District Attorney Katayoun M. Copeland announced the arrest of Eric McFall, 41, who is facing drug trafficking charges relating to an undercover investigation that resulted in the seizure of approximately $54,000 in cash, along with a firearm, two loaded gun magazines, ammunition, a quarter of an ounce of cocaine, and drug paraphernalia consistent with the sale of narcotics. The arrest is the result of an investigation by the Delaware County District Attorney’s Office Criminal Investigation Division (CID) Drug Task Force members Detective Sean P. Brydges, Detective Jerry Scanlan, and Lieutenant John Hamill of the Ridley Township Police Department, with assistance from the Yeadon Borough Police Department.
Eric McFall, 41, of the 700 Block of Cypress Street in Yeadon, is facing possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and drug paraphernalia charges. McFall was remanded to the George W. Hill Correctional Facility after failing to post $250,000/10% bail. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for September 6, 2018.
On August 24, 2018, Ridley Township Detectives Sean Brydges and Jerry Scanlan and Lieutenant John Hamill, along with other members of the Delaware County District Attorney’s Office CID Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at McFall’s residence on the 700 block of Cypress Street in Yeadon. Upon execution of the search warrant, authorities made contact with Eric McFall who admitted to having cocaine, a large amount of money, new and un-used packaging material, and a black digital scale in his residence. McFall directed officers to the various locations in his residence, including a dirty clothes basket, a Timberland boot, and a winter hat, where he had secreted these items.
During the search of the home, detectives seized a total of approximately $54,000 cash, a 9mm handgun and two loaded magazines along with 9mm ammunition. On the nightstand in the master bedroom, detectives located a red Rolex watch, with an appraisal certificate of $15,000, and two iPhones. A black digital money counter was found along with a digital scale, new and un-used packaging material, a clear sandwich baggie containing approximately a quarter ounce (7.4 grams) of cocaine was also located in the residence. Eric McFall's criminal history revealed that he was previously convicted of a felony offense, and thus, unable to legally possess a firearm.

Copeland, “Together, with our partners in law enforcement, we will continue to aggressively arrest and prosecute individuals who are perpetuating the drug epidemic that is tearing families apart in our community. In this case, due to the excellent investigative work of Ridley Township Police Detectives Sean Brydges and Jerry Scanlan, and Lieutenant John Hamill of the Delaware County District Attorney’s Office CID Drug Task Force, with assistance from Yeadon Borough Police Department, this repeat felon was taken into custody.”
On behalf of the Commonwealth, Deputy District Attorney Sharon McKenna, Chief of Narcotics Unit, is prosecuting the case.
