Mobile Recovery Resource Unit
In a continued effort to raise awareness regarding the prescription drug and heroin epidemic, District Attorney Katayoun M. Copeland, Chairperson of the Heroin Task Force, announces a new initiative to provide recovery resources to the community. The Mobile Recovery Resource Unit will provide a safe space for community members, family and friends to obtain prevention, treatment and recovery resources. The Mobile Recovery Unit will be available during community events and throughout the community to provide immediate access. As part of the Mobile Recovery Resource Unit, Certified Recovery Specialists (CRS) will be available to assist with applications for insurance, setting up appointments, and navigating detox and treatment options. The Certified Recovery Specialist program is funded by the Delaware County Office of Behavioral Health, Division of Drug and Alcohol, and coordinated through the efforts of the Crozer-Keystone Health System.
