Incarcerated Women With Co-Occurring Disorders

This track targets women with a prior criminal record (non-violent) who (i) have been incarcerated on new charges or violation of probation/parole; and (ii) suffer from both a substance abuse problem and have a history of depression, anxiety, bi-polar or other Axis I issues. Participants tender a nolo contendere plea that is held in abeyance. Participants are then offered treatment, housing, vocational training and relapse prevention instead of jail. Successful completion of the Program shall result in the dismissal of open charges. Failure to complete the program for any reason shall result in immediate entry of the tendered plea and sentencing.
